Let's take control of our health!

Muriel AUBRY, Osteopath, D.O. , Ph.D (Biochemistry)
After completing her studies in biochemistry at the Université de Montréal (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.), Muriel Aubry engaged in full-time research as a post-doctoral fellow, first in neuroscience and biochemistry at the University of North Carolina (United States), and second in neurogenetics and molecular biology at McGill University, in Montreal. As research Director, she then became head of the gene regulation and expression laboratory, at IRCM (Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal). She continued her research projects in this field as full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine of the Université de Montreal. She was Chair of the Department for two years, after which she became director of undergraduate studies (B.Sc.) in biochemistry and molecular medicine.
Muriel Aubry’s professional and personal interest in health sciences and in patient assistance, as well as her curiosity towards the anatomy of movement and the benefits of physical exercise brought her to reorient her career towards osteopathy. In 2008, she began studying at the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal while practicing osteopathy and pursuing her academic career as a professor and a researcher. Since 2015, she has been practicing osteopathy full-time in order to offer a personalized and integrated approach for the maintenance of health or the return to health in its many forms. Her practice is enriched by several annual continuing education courses and her involvement in the supervision of graduate students at the Collège d'Etudes Ostéopathiques de Montréal.

In 2019, she obtained a degree in Osteopathic Science (D.Sc.O.) for her thesis entitled "Effect of osteopathic treatment in adult women with idiopathic scoliosis"; For this clinical research work, she receives the William Gardner Sutherland Memorial Prize, D.O. for the most representative thesis for advancement of osteopathy in the field of basic research.
