Osteopathy is a manual approach that is complementary to medicine and that requires in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and the specific interactions between the different systems of the human body.

Through a variety of tests requiring a refined and trained palpation, it is possible to identify structures that have less mobility and function than the rest of the body and to investigate the possible causes and compensations of those dysfunctions.

By focusing on a holistic approach and through gentle specific techniques, the therapist addresses the causes of dysfunction in order to return mobility and balance within the body’s different structures.

Osteopathy focuses mainly on the concepts of body unity, self-regulation and structure-function interrelationships.
